HP OfficeJet 3830 Review

HP OfficeJet 3830 is one of the most popular printers available in the market. It has a 35-sheet automatic document Feeder hidden beneath its softly curved top. This can be opened up in sections to show a scanner feed tray and a flatbed underneath the hinged cover. The touch controls feature is also available on the tiny, slanted control panel’s paper-white display screen. Although, It is not as bright as a smartphone’s screen. But, It responds well and provides instant results and scrolling as well. It has a single USB connector on the back. But, I suggest using the wireless connection instead because it allows almost any device to connect to the printer.

The HP print applications for iOS and Android are simple to use and provide a wide range of printing control. It is rated at 8.5ppm for monochrome pages and 6 ppm for print colour pages. In our tests, the top mono print speed for a 5-page document was 7.0 ppm, and for a 20-page document, it rose to 9.0 ppm. This is impressive because it’s uncommon for test results to outperform product claims. However, with only 2.4ppm, our 5-page colour print is slower than average. A 5-page mono copy from the ADF takes one minute and 49 seconds, whereas a colour copy from the flatbed took 32 seconds. From a PC, 15 x 10 cm images took 1 minute 50 seconds, and from an Android phone, 2 minutes 19 seconds. For an all-in-one with such a tight budget, these speeds are all reasonable. The printer features a nice draught mode that saves ink but the printing speed is a little slower. On plain paper, colour graphics are dense and vivid, whereas, in photographs, they are smooth and generally accurate, albeit by default they are darker than the originals. The running costs are 4.6p for a monochrome page and 9.7p for a colour page using the lowest pricing.

This is a decent, straightforward all-in-one printer that has all the necessary features you may want in a home and office printer. If you don’t like the notion of purchasing ink on a subscription, then the printing cost is somehow costly. But, overall HP OfficeJet 3830 is a good printer to buy.I hope you found this information useful.
